# Add custom project tags for better search and organization

## Overview: project tags

Project tags in CxPlanner let you organise projects with your own identifiers, such as PO numbers, client names, or location codes, which is used when you need faster search and filtering across many projects.

Anyone with access to a project can view and use project tags.
* Your role must be **Manager** or **Admin** to edit tags.
* You can find the menu at **Project Settings** - **Project Data** - **Tags**.
* This changes the tags shown on the project card and in project search.
