# Block personal templates

## Block personal templates when creating checklists in the Template Center

The **Block personal templates** setting in **Company agreement - Template permissions** stops every user from importing their own personal templates into the template center, so a company can require that anything pulled into the template center is shared. 

This closes a common continuity gap: a personal template is only visible to and manageable by the person who created it, so if that person goes on vacation, changes role, or resigns, the rest of the team can be left without access to a template that is still in active use on a project. 

||| Only users with the company role **Admin** can open **Company agreement** and change this setting.

### Turn on Block personal templates
1. Click your **profile icon**.
2. Select **Company agreement** from the menu.
3. Open **Template permissions**.
4. Turn on the **Block personal templates** slider.

### Personal templates stay available in Template Center
Turning this on only effects templates created onwards. 

Existing templates located in the **personal folder** will remain there unless they're shared afterwards.
