# Copy folders and files from another project

## Overview: copy folders and files

Folder structure Advanced options in the Files module let you copy folders and files from another project, or import a reusable folder-structure template, which is used to reproduce a proven document structure on a new project.

For adding, renaming, or deleting individual folders, see [Manage folders and files](https://help.cxplanner.com/en-us/article/manage-the-folder-structure-in-the-file-module-d27o9q/).

* Your role must be **Manager** or higher on the destination project. Copying from another project also requires **Admin** on the source project.
* You can find the menu at Files module - **Menu** - **Folder structure** - **Advanced options**.
* This creates folder structure on the destination project, and can copy files when you tick folders during project copy. Approval flow settings never carry over.

|| Only users with project role Manager or higher can use Advanced options in Folder structure. Copying files and folders from another project additionally requires Admin access on the source project.
||| The Import dialog refers to folder templates as "test paradigm." This is internal naming, not a separate feature.
