# Create a file/folder structure template

## Overview: folder structure template

Folder structure templates in **Template Center** let you define a standard folder hierarchy and reuse it when creating projects, which is used when you want consistent documentation layout across projects.

* Your role must be company **Admin** or **Manager** (Moderator for create/edit in the permission matrix below).
* You can find the menu at **Template Center** - **Folder structure** - **Add template**.
* This creates a reusable folder layout. The template stores folders only, not files.

|| Only users with the company role **Admin** or **Manager** can create folder structure templates.

## How to create a folder structure template

1. Go to **Template Center**.
2. Open **Folder structure**.
3. Click **Add template**.
4. Enter a template name.
