# Export project tasks

## Overview: export project tasks

Task export downloads the tasks currently visible in your table view as PDF, Excel, or CSV, which is used for reporting, client sharing, or offline review of punch list items and issues.

Filters and search control what is included.

* Your role must allow you to work with assigned tasks.
* You can find the menu at **Punch list items and Tasks** - **Menu** - **Export to PDF and XLSX**.
* This does not change task data. It creates downloadable files from the current view.

|| Users who have been assigned tasks can export the tasks visible to them.

## How to export tasks

1. Open **Punch list items and Tasks**. Apply any filters or search terms so only the tasks you need are visible.
2. Click **Menu**.
3. Select **Export to PDF and XLSX**.
4. Choose PDF or XLSX output.

## Troubleshooting: export project tasks

| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Export option is missing | Your role or group cannot export from this view | Ask a project **Manager** or **Admin** to review your access |
| Tasks missing from export | Filters or search hide them | Clear filters, confirm the rows you need are visible, then export again |
| PDF layout not as expected | Page size does not fit the content | Export again with a different PDF size |
