# Export/download multiple checklists from the Asset module

## Overview: export multiple checklists

The PDF export in the Asset module lets you download several checklists as PDF reports directly from **Global test view**, which is used for documentation, handover, or sharing test results across assets.

For a structured report with a cover page, custom content, and filtered charts, use the Reporting module instead.

* Your role must be **Manager** or higher.
* You can find the menu at Asset module - **Global test view** - **menu** - **Download PDF reports**.
* This does not change your checklists. It creates PDF files for download.

|| Only users with access to the selected checklists can run this export.

## How to export multiple checklists

1. Go to the **Asset module** in your project.
2. Click **Global test view** in the left sidebar.
3. Click **menu**.
4. Select **Download PDF reports**.
5. Choose the **folders** you want to export.
6. Open **download options** and select the desired format.

## Troubleshooting: export multiple checklists

| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cannot find the download option | You are not in Global test view | Open the Asset module, go to **Global test view**, then open **menu** |
| Download does not start | Your project role is below Manager, or you lack access to the selected checklists | Ask a project **Admin** to raise your role to **Manager**, or grant access to those folders |
| Missing data in the PDF | Checklists are incomplete, or fields are empty | Open the checklist in Global test view, check fields, signatures, and status, then export again |
| Download takes a very long time | You selected many folders or large checklists | Export fewer folders at a time, or wait until the download finishes before closing the window |
