# FAQ: General

## Overview: general FAQ

This FAQ covers frequent general issues across projects, login, PDF exports, devices, and modules. For a dedicated 503 login guide, see [Fix Error 503 when logging in](https://help.cxplanner.com/en-us/article/fix-error-503-when-logging-in-q887i4/). For offline work, see [Use CxPlanner in Offline Mode](https://help.cxplanner.com/en-us/article/use-cxplanner-in-offline-mode-sz8v0h/).

* Your role can be any CxPlanner user.
* You can find answers on this page, and longer guides in the Helpdesk.
* This page does not change project data.

## What this FAQ covers

* Project limits, login 503 errors, PDF photos, HEIC uploads, and module scope

## How to use this FAQ

1. Find the heading that matches your problem.
2. Follow the numbered steps under that heading.
3. Open the linked dedicated article when this FAQ points to a longer guide.

## No more projects available

If you try to create a project and see that you have used all of your projects, increase the project limit.

1. Open [Company Access](https://app.cxplanner.com/company/limits), or contact CxPlanner support.
2. Ask a **Company Admin** to raise the project limit for your company.

## Cannot log in - getting 503

A `503` response during login often means CxPlanner detected unusual behaviour from browser extensions. Password managers can fill hidden anti-spam fields and trigger the block.

1. Disable browser extensions, especially password managers.
2. Try another browser.
3. If it continues, follow [Fix Error 503 when logging in](https://help.cxplanner.com/en-us/article/fix-error-503-when-logging-in-q887i4/).

## Pictures not included in PDF reports

1. Confirm the image format is supported: JPEG, JPG, HEIC, or PNG.
2. Open the task that contains the pictures.
3. Check the comment tab.
4. If you see only a file icon instead of the picture, the image will not be included in the report. Re-upload in a supported format that previews as an image.

## Old mobile devices

Very old devices such as iPhone 8 may not support smart photo capture inside checklists. Use a newer device, or take the photo with the native camera and upload it.

## How to remove comments from PDF reports

1. Choose the export option you prefer.
2. Expand the **Adjust design** section.
3. Toggle on or off the options you want included (for example internal comments, attached files, or status circles).

## Why aren't my HEIC photos uploading?

1. When uploading HEIC photos from an iPhone, wait up to 15 seconds. CxPlanner converts them during upload.
2. If upload still fails, check whether the file is HEIF rather than HEIC. Some iPhones produce HEIF, which may not be supported.
3. Change the iPhone camera setting to a compatible format, then upload again.

## Is CxPlanner only a commissioning tool?

CxPlanner supports commissioning and broader construction quality workflows. Sidebar modules are functional areas, not a fixed commissioning parameter set.

Commissioning-aligned areas include the Asset module and **System & Test view**. Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Site Inspection support inspections, QA reviews, punch list items, and general issue tracking.

Enable or disable modules in project settings so the workspace shows only what that project needs.

## Results: general FAQ

* Common login, project-limit, PDF photo, and HEIC issues have concrete checks
* Module visibility can be limited in project settings when a project does not need every tool
