# Fix camera access issues on mobile and tablet

## Overview: fix camera access on mobile

Camera failures in CxPlanner are usually caused by outdated software, denied browser permissions, or device security settings. This guide restores in-app photo capture for tasks and checklists.

* Your role can be any company role on your own device.
* You can find the settings on the device, browser site settings, or the CxPlanner app permissions.
* This restores photo capture in tasks, checklists, and reports.

|| All company roles can perform these checks on their own device.

## What blocks the camera

* Denied browser or app camera permission
* Outdated OS or very old hardware
* Extra security layers on some Android or Samsung devices

## Requirements for in-app camera

| iOS newer models | Enable camera in browser site settings |
| iOS legacy models (for example iPhone 8 or older) | Use the native camera app, then upload |
