# Install and log in to the CxPlanner app

## Overview: install and log in

CxPlanner is available as a free iOS and Android app, and in the browser. Both give you the same projects, checklists, tasks, and documentation, which is used when you work on site from a phone or tablet, or from a desktop browser.

* Your role must be any active CxPlanner account.
* You can find the app in the App Store or Google Play, or open the browser login at [https://cxplanner.com/login](https://cxplanner.com/login).
* This does not change project data. It gives you access to your projects on that device.

|| All users with a valid CxPlanner account can log in through the app or browser.

For the best browser experience, use **Google Chrome**. Other browsers work but may perform less well.

## How to install and log in

### Download the app
1. Open your device app store.
2. Search for **CxPlanner**.
3. Download and install the app.

### Log in to the app
1. Open the **CxPlanner** app.
2. Enter your email and password.
3. Tap **Log in**.
4. Start from your project overview.

### Use the browser instead
1. Open your browser (prefer Google Chrome).
2. Go to [https://cxplanner.com/login](https://cxplanner.com/login).
3. Enter your credentials and log in.
4. Start from your project overview.

## Results: app and browser access

* App and browser have the same functionality
* On mobile, the app hides the browser URL bar for a larger workspace
* Login credentials are the same across devices
* Projects and data stay in sync between app and browser

## Troubleshooting: install and log in

| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cannot log in | Wrong email or password | Use **Reset password** on the login screen, then try again with the new password |
| SSO login fails on iPhone | Company SSO needs the iOS-specific flow | Follow the [iOS SSO login guide](https://help.cxplanner.com/en-us/article/ios-iphone-login-with-sso-14koo1j/) |
| App not found in the store | Regional store listing or search mismatch | Use the direct App Store or Google Play link above |
| Browser is slow or unstable | Unsupported or outdated browser | Switch to Google Chrome and retry |
