# Re-import checklists in the asset module

## Overview: re-import checklists

Re-import reloads the checklist configuration on an existing asset from the latest template setup, which is used when a checklist template has changed and one asset needs the updated structure.

It affects only the selected asset and checklist.

* Your role must be **Manager** or higher.
* You can find the menu at Asset module - **Types: Assets** - re-import icon.
* This changes the checklist structure on the selected asset.

|| Only users with the project role **Manager** or higher can re-import checklists.

## How to re-import a checklist

1. Open your project.
2. Click **Types: Assets** in the left sidebar.
3. Locate the asset that needs the checklist refresh.
4. Click the circular re-import icon with two rotating arrows.
5. Confirm the action if prompted.
6. Open the checklist and verify the updated structure.

|---|---|---|
| Re-import icon is missing | Project role is below Manager | Ask a project **Admin** to raise your role to **Manager**, then retry |
| Checklist does not look updated | Re-import did not finish or template was unchanged | Retry the re-import, then confirm the template attached to the asset type is the latest version |
| Cannot find the asset | Wrong asset type or filtered view | Open **Types: Assets**, clear filters, and search for the asset |
