## Overview: recommended devices for CxPlanner

CxPlanner runs on phones, tablets, and desktops through the browser or the Apple App Store and Google Play apps, which is used when choosing hardware for checklist work, tasks, and offline sync in the field.

Any role can use CxPlanner on a supported device.
You access CxPlanner through the browser or the mobile apps from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
This does not change project data. It only affects how you access CxPlanner.

|| CxPlanner works on Android and iPhone devices, and on tablets. On site, mobile phones are usually preferred over tablets so one hand stays free for equipment work.

## How to choose a device for CxPlanner

1. Confirm the device meets the OS and browser requirements in the table above.
2. Prefer a current Android or iPhone for site work so one hand stays free.
3. Use Chrome on Android and desktop, or Safari on iOS and iPadOS.
4. Sync the project over mobile network, WiFi, or hotspot before you go offline.
5. For ATEX or heavy environments, use one of the rugged tablets listed below.
