# Sort tasks in the "Task Assigned to You" section

## Overview: make custom groups and order of your tasks

Grouping in **Tasks Assigned to You** organizes your assigned tasks by Project, Status, Type, or Task Name.

Grouping affects only your view. Right-click a blue column header to group.

* Your role can be any user. No special role is required.
* You can find the section at your dashboard or task module - **Tasks Assigned to You**.
* This changes only your personal grouping. It does not change task data for others.

## How to sort tasks assigned to you

1. Open **Tasks Assigned to You** from your dashboard or the task module.
2. Hover over a blue column header such as Project, Type, Status, or Name, and right-click it.
3. Select **Add to Group**.

## How to reset or remove a grouping

1. Right-click the same column header you grouped by.
2. Select **Remove groups**, or drag the group header away from the grouping bar if it is visible.

## Results: sort tasks assigned to you

## Troubleshooting: sort tasks assigned to you

| Problem | Cause | Solution |

| Grouping options not visible | Not right-clicking a blue column header | Right-click directly on the column header |
| Grouping not applied | Wrong menu option selected | Choose **Add to Group** from the context menu |
| Cannot remove grouping | Remove option not used | Choose **Remove groups**, or drag the header away from the grouping bar |
