# Tutorial: Quick set up of platform + Create a new project (intro to Admin Users)

## Overview: platform setup and first project

Company setup lets a company **Admin** add branding, create a project (including a Sandbox), and invite users with roles, which is used when you log in for the first time as an administrator or when you add another project.

* Your role must be company **Admin** for initial company setup.
* You can find the menu at profile icon - **Account Settings** / **Company Profile**, and **Projects** - **New Project**.
* This changes company branding on exports, project spaces, and user access.

|| Only users with the company role **Admin** can perform the initial company setup. Be careful when assigning **Admin** roles.

## How to set up CxPlanner and create a project

1. Go to the CxPlanner login page and sign in.
2. Click your avatar in the top right and open **Account Settings**.
3. In **Company Profile**, upload your company logo for exports and reports.
4. Use the left sidebar to open **Home**, **Projects**, and **Templates**.
5. Go to **Projects** and click **New Project**. Enter the project name and optional details.
6. Select **Sandbox** if you want a test project that does not affect your license.
7. In **Project Settings**, open **Add Users** and invite collaborators.
8. Enter the user's email, assign a role, and send the invitation.
9. Confirm the user received the email and can access the project.

## Results: platform setup and first project

* Company logo appears on project exports and reports
* Sandbox projects are excluded from license usage
* User invitations are sent by email and must be accepted before access is granted

## Troubleshooting: platform setup and first project

| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cannot create a project | Company role is below Admin or Moderator | Ask a company **Admin** to raise your role or create the project |
| Logo not appearing on exports | Logo not uploaded, or an old export is cached | Re-upload the logo in **Company Profile**, then generate a new export |
| User did not get the invitation | Misspelled address or email blocked | Verify the email address, check spam, and resend the invitation from **Project Settings** |
