Create a standard project template for your company
Overview: standard project template
A project set to Template status can be selected as the company Standard project, so new projects inherit folders, asset types, checklist content, and settings, which is used when your company wants a consistent default setup for every new project.

- Your role must be company Admin.
- You can find the menus at Project Settings - Project Data (set status to Template), and profile icon - Company profile - Standard project.
- This changes the default configuration applied when new projects are created.
How to create a standard project template
Create and mark the project as Template
- Create a normal project.
- Set up everything the template should include (file structure, modules, user groups, and related settings).
- Go to Project Settings.
- Select Project Data.
- Change the project status from Open to Template by clicking the pencil icon.

Set the project as the company standard
- Click your profile icon in the top right.
- Expand Company profile.
- Select Standard project.
- Choose the template project and edit what should be included.

Results: standard project template
New projects start from the selected template configuration, including:
- Folder structure
- Document setup
- Custom field configurations
- Predefined workflows (if any)
Troubleshooting: standard project template
Problem | Cause | Solution |

Template project not appearing | Project not marked as Template | Open Project Settings - Project Data and set status to Template |
Cannot set standard project | User is not company Admin | Ask a Company Admin to select the standard project |
New projects not following the template | Standard project not selected, or selection outdated | Open Company profile - Standard project and select the correct template again |
