Set Up Procore Integration with CxPlanner

How do I integrate a Procore project with CxPlanner?


CxPlanner is available as an embedded app in the Procore App Marketplace. Once integrated, you can access and use CxPlanner directly from within your Procore project, allowing for a seamless workflow across both platforms.


Only users with a CxPlanner license and access to the Procore project can perform the project matching.

When and why to use this


Use the Procore integration to streamline commissioning processes by linking your Procore project with CxPlanner.

Integration scenarios:


  • If you are the Procore project owner and have a CxPlanner license: You can perform the integration and project matching yourself.
  • If you hired a commissioning firm that uses CxPlanner: The commissioning team needs to perform the project matching from their side.



Steps to integrate CxPlanner in a Procore project:


  1. The Procore project owner enables the CxPlanner embedded app from the Procore App Marketplace.
  2. A user with a CxPlanner license:
  3. Opens the Procore project.
  4. Selects the CxPlanner app from the app dropdown in Procore.
  5. Logs in to CxPlanner.
  6. Selects the relevant CxPlanner project and performs Project Matching.



Project matching


When CxPlanner is opened inside Procore, the system attempts to automatically match the Procore project ID with a CxPlanner project.


If a match is found:

  • The CxPlanner project is opened directly inside the Procore interface.


If no match is found:

  1. Select an existing CxPlanner project to manually match to the Procore project.
  2. Or create a new CxPlanner project using the Procore project’s name.

  • The embedded app opens the selected CxPlanner project within Procore.
  • No data is synced or overwritten by default—CxPlanner runs in its own secure environment.
  • Project matching is a one-time setup per Procore project.
