Create and manage flowcharts in reports and Cx-Plan

Overview: flowcharts in reports

Flowcharts let you build diagrams in a full-screen editor, save them to the project, and insert them as images into rich text in reports, which is used when documenting processes, dependencies, or workflows that multiple users need to reuse.

API users do not have access to this feature.

  • Your role must be Contractor or higher. Viewer cannot use flowcharts.
  • You can find the menu at Cx-Plan or a report rich text editor - Flowchart icon.
  • This changes project diagrams and the images inserted into rich text.

Administrators and Managers can edit and delete all flowcharts. Other roles can only edit their own.

How to create and manage flowcharts

Open the flowchart dialog

  1. Open your project and go to Cx-Plan or a report with a rich text editor.
  2. Click the Flowchart icon (route-style icon) in the toolbar.
  3. The Flowcharts dialog opens with a list of saved diagrams.

Create a new flowchart and insert it

  1. Click Add new flowchart.
  2. Build and edit your diagram in the full-screen editor.
  3. Give the diagram a name and save.

CxPlanner saves the flowchart to the project, generates an image, and inserts it at your cursor position.
