How to delete a project?

Delete/Temporarily Archive a Project

If you find yourself needing to delete a project, you’ll be glad to know that it’s a very simple process.

Note - if you delete a project, it will be permanently removed and there is no way to recover it.

If you’re unsure whether you might need the project again in the future, we recommend simply changing the project status from "open" to "closed."
When you change the project status to "closed," it will be temporarily archived and can only be reopened by the owner or administrators.
This is a great alternative to deleting the project, as all data and progress will be preserved.

Change the Status of a Project

If you don’t want to delete the project but just want to change the status, you can do so by navigating to "project settings" on the left side of the sidebar, opening "project data," and clicking the small pencil icon. Here you can change the project status.

Delete a Project

If you don’t want to temporarily close the project but instead want to delete it permanently, navigate to "project settings" on the left side of the sidebar, open "advanced," then scroll all the way to the bottom and find the "delete project" button. When clicking the final "Delete project" you must type in the full name of the project to confirm the deletion.
