Manage Task Visibility in Schedules

Overview

How do I control which tasks are visible in my schedule?

In CxPlanner, the Schedule module displays all tasks that have a start and end date. This can include different types of tasks from various modules. You can customize your personal view to show only

the task types you need.

All users can adjust their own task visibility in the schedule. This setting only affects the current user’s view.

When and why to use this

You might want to adjust task visibility when:

  • You need to focus on specific task types, such as schedule-only tasks or checklist tasks.
  • You are working with multiple task sources in one schedule and want to reduce clutter.
  • You want to quickly toggle between a high-level overview and a detailed task view.

The system behavior:

  • The schedule can display a mix of tasks from multiple modules.
  • Visibility settings are stored per user and do not affect other users’ views.
  • Hidden tasks are not deleted – they are simply not shown in the current view.

How to edit your timeline view - step by step

  1. Go to the Schedule module in your project and In the top toolbar, click the eye icon (task visibility settings).
  2. Select the task types you want to see:
  • Schedule tasks – Tasks created directly in the schedule.
  • General tasks – Tasks created in the table overview.
  • Module tasks – Tasks from other modules (e.g., checklists).
  1. Close the menu to apply your changes. The schedule will refresh and display only the selected task types.
