Re-import a checklist template
Overview
How do I re-import a checklist template in CxPlanner?
If your company has updated an existing checklist template, you may need to re-import it into an ongoing project to ensure all checklists stay up to date. This process is quick and only takes a few clicks.
When and why to use this
Re-importing templates is relevant when your company updates its checklists, and you want those updates applied to checklists already in use across projects.
- Use it when a template has been updated and should replace the old version in an active project.
- The system ensures that only templates previously in use can be re-imported.
- You cannot replace a checklist with a completely new template that was never used in the project.
How to - step by step
- Go to the System & Testview module from the left sidebar.
- Click on Menu
- Select Bulk edit many items.
- Find the folder where you need to re-import the template.
- To select an entire folder (including subfolders), hold down Shift while clicking the folder.
- Click Import Template.
- Select Re-Import Template.
Step 1, 2 & 3
Step 4 & 5
Behavior and results
The re-import feature ensures that:
- Only templates already used in the project can be re-imported.
- If you try to import a template that has never been used, the system will show a notification and block the action.
- All checklists linked to the updated template will automatically align with the new version.
Troubleshooting
