Save and Reuse AI Prompts with Prompt Library
Overview: Prompt Library
Prompt Library stores reusable prompts for Ask CxPlanner / CxAI so users can insert a saved prompt into the chat composer instead of retyping standard instructions for reports or technical documentation.
Company and Project prompts are managed by Company Admins.
- Your role can be any user to use Prompt Library and create personal prompts. Only Company Admins can manage Company and Project prompts.
- You can find the menu at Ask CxPlanner / CxAI -
/icon, or via Template Center. - This changes which prompts appear in the chat composer. It does not change project data by itself.
How to use Prompt Library
Create a new personal prompt
- Open Prompt Library from CxAI by clicking the
/icon in the bottom right, or open it from Template Center. - Click Create Prompt.
- Enter Name, Description, Prompt text, Tags, and Category.
- Save the prompt.
Use a prompt in CxAI
- Open Ask CxPlanner / CxAI.
- Click the
/icon in the bottom right and open Browse prompts. - Select the prompt.
- Confirm the prompt text is inserted into the chat.
Optimize a prompt with AI
- Create or edit a prompt.
- Click Optimize.
- Review the AI-suggested rewrite.
- Save the updated prompt.

Troubleshooting: Prompt Library
Problem | Cause | Solution |

Cannot edit a prompt | Prompt belongs to another user, or it is a System prompt | Clone the prompt into a personal version, then edit the clone |
Cannot create Company prompts | Your role is not Company Admin | Ask a Company Admin to create the Company prompt or approve your suggestion |
Prompt does not appear in the | Prompt is not shared with you, or still awaiting approval | Check visibility, or ask a Company Admin to approve and share it |
Optimize button is not working | Temporary AI issue | Wait a moment and click Optimize again |
