Add a floorplan to your project

Overview: add a floorplan

The floorplan feature lets you upload PDF floorplans, convert them for project use, and place, filter, and track assets, tasks, and QA/QC items on the plan, which is used for location-based tracking on multi-zone construction and commissioning sites.

  • Your role must be Manager or higher.
  • You can find the menu at Files - Floorplans (upload) and Project settings - Floorplan and Arrangements (convert, view, place).
  • This changes which floorplans are available in the project and where assets, tasks, and QA/QC items can be placed.

Only users with the project role Manager or higher can add and link floorplans.

Floorplans must be uploaded as PDF. Other formats are not supported.

How to add a floorplan

Upload a floorplan

  1. In the left sidebar, click Files.
  2. Select the folder named Floorplans.
  3. Click Upload Files.
  4. Choose the PDF floorplans from your computer.

All floorplans must be uploaded as PDFs before they can be converted.

Results: floorplan views and filters

Once added, the floorplan appears in Floorplan and Arrangements. You can place checklists and tasks on the plan. Renaming the file later does not break its link to the project.
