Create a Data Center project in less than 5 minutes

Overview

How do I create a project with assets, levels, and checklists in CxPlanner?

This guide explains how to create a new project, define levels, add assets, and configure checklists and responsibilities.

Only users with the project role Manager or Admin can create and configure projects

When and why to use this

Use this feature when you need to set up a structured commissioning project in CxPlanner.

  • When starting a new project
  • When defining commissioning levels
  • When creating and structuring assets
  • When assigning checklists to assets
  • When planning tests and assigning responsibilities

Key points:

  • Levels and structure can always be adjusted later
  • Checklists can be reused via templates
  • Assets can be imported from Excel or PDF
  • Assignments can be made to users, companies, or groups

How to - step by step

1. Create a project

  1. Go to Projects in the sidebar
  2. Create your Asset-Base project

  1. Go to Type: **Asset **
  2. Select an asset type (e.g., ATS)

  4. Repeat for all relevant levels

Tip: Save the setup as a template for reuse.
