Delete or Archive a Project
Overview
How do I permanently delete or temporarily archive a project in CxPlanner?
If you no longer need a project in CxPlanner, you can either delete it permanently or archive it temporarily by changing the project status to Closed. Deleting a project is irreversible, so we recommend closing the project if you think you might need it again later.
Guide - How to Change the Status of a Project
- Click Project Settings from the left sidebar.
- Open the Project data tab.
- Click the small pencil icon next to the project status.
- Change the status to Closed and confirm.
Guide - How to Delete a Project
- Click Project Settings from the left sidebar.
- Open the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to the delete project section and click Delete project.
- Type the full project name to confirm the deletion.
- Click the final Delete button.
Behavior and results
Deleting and closing a project have very different outcomes:

Troubleshooting
Problem | Cause | Solution |

Typing the name doesn’t work | Incorrect project name format | Copy the exact name from the top of the project |
