Track project changes with the Audit Log
Overview: Audit Log
The Audit Log in Project Settings shows who made changes, what changed, and when, which is used when you need visibility into project activity or to investigate unexpected updates.
Retention depends on your licence.
- Your role must be Admin.
- You can find the menu at Project Dashboard - Project Settings - Audit Log.
- This does not change project data. It shows a history of logged actions.
What CxPlanner logs
- Changes to project settings
- User activity (for example adding or removing users)
- Updates to checklists or tasks
- Modifications to system configurations
Each log entry includes timestamp, user, action type, and details of what changed.
How to open the Audit Log
- Go to your Project Dashboard.
- Click Project Settings.
- Select Audit Log from the menu.

Results: Audit Log
- You see who changed what and when
- Each entry includes timestamp, user, action type, and change details
- History depth follows your licence (3 months on standard)
Troubleshooting: Audit Log
Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
Cannot see the Audit Log | Project role is not Admin | Ask a project Admin to open the log, or to raise your role to Admin |
Audit Log missing in settings | Feature not enabled for the company | Ask your CxPlanner contact whether Audit Log is activated for your company |
Older changes not visible | Retention limit for your plan | On standard licence only the last 3 months are kept; ask your CxPlanner contact about an Enterprise upgrade for longer history |
