Import a Excel (XLSX) Checklist into CxPlanner
Overview: import Excel checklist templates
Excel checklist import in Template Center lets you create one or many checklist templates from a spreadsheet (.xlsx), or paste rows into an existing template, which is used for bulk import of commissioning tests and mass upload of test scripts.

- Your role must allow access to Template Center.
- You can find the menu at Template Center - Import Files - Import CxPlanner Excel.
- This creates or updates checklist templates and their line items (checklist items).

How to import Excel checklist templates
Import multiple templates using multi-sheet Excel
- Go to Template Center.
- Select the checklist type, for example Commissioning Test.
- Click Import Files.
- Select Import CxPlanner Excel.
- Click Download Template to download the Excel template.
- Open the spreadsheet and fill in Topic and Test Item.
- Save the Excel file.
- Drag and drop the file into the upload area in CxPlanner.
- Click Upload and Convert.
- Review the imported templates.
- Continue through the confirmation windows to finish the import.
Quick import using copy-paste
- Open the template you want to update.
- Click Import from Excel.
- Copy the green cells from the Excel template.
- Paste the data into the import field in CxPlanner.
- Click Import Data.

After import you can require photos, enable numeric inputs, change item order, delete or edit test items, and adjust visual settings.
Troubleshooting: Excel checklist import
