Import and update assets using CSV

Overview: import and update assets from CSV

CSV import in Asset Overview lets you add many assets at once or export, edit, and re-import existing asset data, which is used for bulk import of equipment lists and ongoing mass updates.

For advanced Excel mapping, see Import and update assets with Excel (advanced).

  • Your role must be Manager or higher.
  • You can find the menu at Project - Asset Overview.
  • This changes the asset list and field values in the project.

Only users with the project role Manager or higher can perform these actions.

If the import file looks strange in Excel, switch the delimiter between comma and semicolon.

Asset types must exist before import. Add them under Types: Assets if needed.
