Add images to an existing task

Overview

How do I add images to an existing task in CxPlanner?

You can upload supporting photos or documentation to any task, even after it has been created. This ensures that task records remain complete and up to date.

All project roles can add images to tasks.

When and why to use this

Adding images to a task is useful when:

  • You did not have all documentation available at task creation.
  • You need to highlight errors or issues found later.
  • A colleague provides new supporting files.

The system stores images directly on the task so all users with access can view them.

How to add images to tasks - step-by-step guide:

  1. Open the task you want to update.
  2. Click the small file icon in the task toolbar.
  3. Attach your images by either:
  • Dragging and dropping them into the upload area
  • Clicking to open your computer’s file system and selecting files

Step 1 - Open the task

Steps 2 & 3 - Attach your images

Behavior and results

  • Images are stored directly in the task record.
  • All users with access to the task can view the uploaded images.
  • Uploaded images are included in reports and PDF exports if the task is part of them.
