Become an Admin on a project you're not invited to

Overview: become Admin on an uninvited project

As a Company Admin, you can grant yourself Project Admin access on any company project from Company Profile - Project Overview, which is used when a project owner has left, or when you need central oversight of a project that is not on your dashboard.

It does not change project ownership. For company-wide settings, see Company Settings for Company Admins.

  • Your role must be Company Admin.
  • You can find the menu at Profile icon - Company Profile - Project Overview.
  • This changes your membership on the selected project and adds you as Project Admin.

This is an enterprise feature. Only Company Admin users can use Get Access.

By default, projects are only visible to invited members. Being a Company Admin does not put every project on your dashboard until you take access.

How to become Project Admin on a project

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
  2. Select Company Profile.
  3. Go to Project Overview.
  4. Click Get Access on the project you need.

  • You appear on the project as a Project Admin
  • The original Project Owner keeps ownership
  • Other users keep their roles unless you change them
  • The project appears in your dashboard
  • The action is recorded in the project log
