Bulk performing checklists

Overview

How do I bulk perform multiple checklists at once?

Bulk performing allows you to approve, fail, or edit multiple checklists in one action. This is especially useful when testing large sets of equipment (e.g. 100s of VAV boxes) directly from a BMS station.

Only users with the project role Manager or Admin can perform bulk actions on checklists.

When and why to use this

Bulk performing is designed for efficiency in projects with many repeated checklists.

  • Use it when multiple checklists share the same template.
  • Actions (PASS, FAIL, N/A) apply simultaneously to all selected checklists.
  • The system automatically detects and includes all other checklists using the same template.

Limitations to note:

  • You can only bulk perform when the checklists share the same template.
  • Individual line items can still be adjusted across the group if needed.

How to - step by step

  1. Open your project and go to the Menu.
  2. Select Bulk edit many items
  3. Select one checklist - CxPlanner will automatically find all other checklists with the same template.
  4. In bulk mode, choose your action:
  • Click PASS / FAIL / N/A to apply the command across all checklists.
  • Click the yellow line item row to open and edit that line across all checklists (e.g. FAIL 1, PASS 9).
  • Use the yellow bar at the bottom for an overview of all selected checklists, showing counts of PASS and FAIL.

Behavior and results

When bulk mode is active, three behaviors change:

  1. Single actions apply globally - PASS/FAIL/N/A updates all selected checklists.
  2. Line items sync - clicking a line opens it for all checklists at once, but you can still vary results per checklist.
  3. Bottom summary bar - displays live totals of PASS, FAIL, and N/A across all checklists.
