Create a site inspection with a required photo
Overview
How do I create a site inspection that requires a photo before closing?
In CxPlanner you can easily create individual inspections directly in the Site inspection module. This feature is useful when you need to document observations with mandatory pictures.
When and why to use this
Creating a site inspection with a required photo ensures that important issues are always documented with visual proof.
- Use this when you want to enforce photo documentation before closing an inspection task.
- The system will prevent the inspection from being closed until at least one photo is uploaded.
- If you need to repeat the same type of inspections frequently, it is more efficient to create a template.
How to - step by step
- Go to the Site inspection module from the left sidebar.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to create the inspection.
- Click on New Observation.
- Fill in the Description field with the relevant inspection details.
- Expand the Details section.
- Check the box Take a photo before closing the task.
- Save the inspection.

Behavior and results
When the Take a photo before closing the task option is enabled:
- The inspection cannot be closed until at least one photo has been uploaded.
- Users assigned to the inspection will be prompted to add a photo before completing it.
- The uploaded photo will automatically be included in the inspection record.
