Overview

How can I add links, files, images, or videos directly inside my CxPlanner templates?

Dynamic transforms let you enrich templates with links, files, embedded videos, and formatted text. This makes checklists and reports more interactive and user-friendly.

All project roles can view transforms in templates.

Only users with the project role Manager or higher can create or edit template content.

When and why to use this

You can use transforms whenever you need to add external resources or improve readability in your template content.

Link to manuals, drawings, or websites directly from a checklist.
Attach files or embed review documents.
Insert Loom or YouTube videos for step-by-step guides.
Add images or formatted text for clarity.

Limitations:

File and image links must be publicly available or stored in CxPlanner.
Embedded video links only support Loom and YouTube.

How to - step by step

Go to Template Center in your project.
Open the template you want to edit.
Insert one of the transform formats (see the table below) into your template text field.
Save your changes.
Preview the template to confirm that the transform works as expected.
