How do I upload, organize, and manage files in CxPlanner?
The Files module in CxPlanner lets you store, share, and collaborate on documents directly within your project. You can upload new files, update existing ones, manage folder structures, control access, and more.
When and why to use this
You’ll use the Files module when you need to:
- Store project documents in a shared workspace.
- Upload new versions or revisions to keep content up-to-date.
- Control access for specific users or groups.
- Keep track of updates with notifications.
- Approve and review files for compliance or sign-off.

- All file activity is tracked in the project log.
- Approved files are marked accordingly for easy reference.
- Notifications can be set for new uploads, revisions, or deleted documents.

Behavior and results
When you upload files or revisions:
- Older versions remain accessible in the version history.
- Access settings apply to both files and folders.
- Approvals are logged with date, time, and user details.
