Upload and View 3D Models in the File Module

Overview: upload and view 3D models

The Files module supports online viewing of 3D models such as IFC and Revit, with navigation tools and optional task links to model areas, which is used for BIM coordination inside the project.

For combining multiple models, see the combine 3D models guide. Revit viewing requires project activation and may need additional licensing.

  • Your role can view IFC models with normal Files access. Revit viewing requires module activation.
  • You can find the menu at Files module - upload model - open file in the 3D viewer.
  • This prepares models for online viewing and can support task linking and multi-model coordination.

All users can view IFC models. Revit model viewing requires project activation and may involve additional licensing.
