Edit assets directly in asset overview

Overview: edit assets in Asset overview

In-grid editing in Asset Overview lets you select several assets and update shared field values directly in the grid, which is used for fast corrections during commissioning when a full spreadsheet import is unnecessary.

For large replacements, use Options - Bulk Update.

  • Your role must be Manager or higher.
  • You can find the menu at Asset module - Asset Overview.
  • This changes field values and active/inactive status on the selected assets.

Only users with the project role Manager or higher can perform this action.

What CxPlanner does during in-grid editing

  • Writes the same edited value to all selected assets
  • Leaves blank fields unchanged
  • Uses active/inactive status to control default visibility in checklists and reporting

How to edit multiple assets in the grid

  1. Go to Asset Overview.
  2. Check the boxes next to each asset you want to edit.
  3. Click the relevant column in the grid.
  4. Enter the update. Changes apply to all selected assets.
