Line items are grayed out / not clickable

Why are checklist line items grayed out or not clickable?


Checklist access in CxPlanner is based on the user’s project role. If you have the role of Admin or Manager, you can always interact with all line items.


However, if you have a lower role, such as Contractor or Designer, you must be specifically assigned to the checklist before you can perform any actions.

How to unlock line items by assigning users


If a user sees grayed-out checklist items, it's likely because they haven't been assigned yet. You can assign a checklist in one of three ways:


  1. Personal assignment – assign a specific user.
  2. Company assignment – assign everyone from a specific company.
  3. User group assignment – assign based on predefined user groups.


You can assign one or more of these options to the same checklist.



Troubleshooting


Cancelled requirement for photo or file

If the user is already assigned to the checklist, but the user still experience the line items as greyed out, then it might be because the user cancelled the requirement.


That means, if the line item requires a file or a photo, and the user does not add that, then the line item locks. It is however only locked until after the person does a refresh of the page, and then they can try again. That's an anti-cheat feature in our software.


Missing a reload

If you have just been assigned to the checklist, then please do a reload to ensure, that the new assignment has been loaded onto your device.


Cannot find the line items?

This feature is located in the Checklists - so the access will be found under System and test view, Asset module, QA/QC and site inspections.
