Reset or Revert a Checklist Signature

How do I reset or remove a signature from a checklist in CxPlanner?


Sometimes a checklist has already been signed off but needs to be changed because of an error, an update, or incorrect approval. In these cases, you

can remove the existing signature and re-approve the checklist.


Only users with the project role Manager or higher can reset or remove a checklist signature.


When and why to use this


Resetting a signature is useful if a checklist was signed off too early, with errors, or requires updates before approval.

  • Needed when a mistake was made during approval or project requirements changed.
  • Removing a signature ends the approval flow for the checklist at that point.
  • Any signatures added after the removal will not appear in the exported PDF report.
  • Ensures document integrity by keeping the approval trail consistent.


How to - step by step


Perform and approve the checklist

  1. Open the checklist.
  2. Approve the checklist.
  3. Add your signature.
  4. The PDF report will now show this approval as the most recent and valid state.



Remove the approved signature

  1. Navigate to the checklist.
  2. Click on the Approved status.
  3. Select Remove Signature.
  4. The signature will now be removed from the report.



Re-approve the checklist

  1. Make the required updates or corrections.
  2. Sign the checklist again.
  3. The new signature will now appear in the report, replacing the original one.




Behavior and results

  • When a signature is removed, the approval flow ends at that point.
  • Any approvals after removal will not appear in the PDF report.
  • Once re-approved, the latest signature becomes the official version displayed in the system and exported reports.
