Select all files in the files module at once?

Overview

How do I quickly select every file in my project’s file list?

You can use the Select All option to mark every file in the current view with one click, saving time compared to selecting them one by one.

All users with access to the files module can select all

When and why to use this

Use Select All when you need to perform the same action on multiple files at the same time. This is helpful when:

  • You need to download, move, or delete many files together.
  • You are preparing files for bulk updates or sharing.
  • You want to apply the same action (such as assigning a tag) to all visible files.

Limitations:

  • The action only selects the files currently displayed in the view or filtered search results.
  • If you have multiple pages of files, you need to repeat the action on each page.

Guide - How to select all files at once

  1. Go to the Files module in your project.
  2. Locate the top menu bar above the file list.
  3. Click the small “+” icon to select all files in the current view.
  4. Proceed with the action you want to perform (download, move, delete, etc.).

Behavior and results

When you click Select All, the system marks all files currently shown in the list.

If filters are applied, only the filtered files will be selected.

You can deselect files individually by clicking their checkbox again.
