When and why to use this

Use this workflow when you want to ensure a checklist template is tailored and fixed to a specific project.

Allocate templates when:

  • You want project-specific customization
  • You want full traceability for the project

Limitations:

  • Templates locked to one project can't be reused in others unless re-imported
  • Only visible to permitted users based on template visibility settings

How to – step by step

  1. Create a new template

Navigate to the template creation section.

  • Name the template (e.g., "Allocated Template")
  • Define the template category

  1. Duplicate and lock template to project

In the availability section, find the option to duplicate and lock to a specific project.

  • Search and select the relevant project
  • Confirm to lock the template to that project

Behavior and results

When a template is locked to a project:

  • It appears as a project-specific template in the import list
  • It cannot be edited globally - only within the project
  • External import access is only available if explicitly enabled
