Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account

How to Enable 2FA on Your CxPlanner Profile

To protect your account from unauthorized access, we recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA). With 2FA, you will need to enter a one-time code from an authentication app in addition to your password when logging in. This adds an extra layer of security and reduces the risk of your account being compromised.

When and why to use this

Enabling 2FA is recommended to secure your account against unauthorized access, especially if:

  • You have access to sensitive project data or company information.
  • You are an Admin or Manager on multiple projects.
  • Your organization requires 2FA as part of its security policy.

Key behavior:

  • You will be prompted for a one-time code every time you log in.
  • The code is generated via an authentication app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator).
  • If you lose access to your 2FA app, you may need admin help to regain access.

Guide - How to Enable 2FA

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
  2. Select "Account settings" from the menu.
  3. Scroll down to the "2FA" section.
  4. Scan the QR code using your preferred 2FA app (e.g., Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator).

Once 2FA is enabled, you will need to use your authentication app to generate a one-time code each time you log in. This ensures that only you have access to your account.
