Import Tasks from Excel
Overview
How do I quickly add tasks from an existing list into CxPlanner?
If you already have a prepared list of tasks in Excel, you can save time by importing them directly into CxPlanner. This method is ideal for migrating tasks from a previous project or other task tracking system.
When and why to use this
Importing tasks from Excel is useful when:
- You are starting a new project and already have a task list prepared.
- You need to migrate tasks from another tool or format.
- You want to avoid manually creating tasks one-by-one.
What happens when you import:
- All tasks from the Excel file are added to your selected project.
- The system maps task fields according to the Excel structure.
- Existing tasks are not overwritten unless they match specific identifiers.
Limitations:
- The Excel file must follow the CxPlanner import format.
- Large imports may take longer to process.
