Rename photos within tasks
Overview: rename photos within tasks
Renaming a task photo replaces a generic camera filename with a descriptive label in CxPlanner and in exports, which is used when punch list documentation needs clear photo names.
It does not rename the original file on your device.
- Your role must allow you to edit the task. Assigned users can rename photos on tasks they can edit.
- You can find the control on the open task - photo - three dots menu.
- This changes the photo name in the task view and in later exports.
How to rename photos within tasks
- Open the task and click the three dots menu in the top-right corner of the photo.
- Enter a new descriptive name for the photo.
- Click Save.

Results: rename photos within tasks
