Link a Yubikey to your CxPlanner profile
Overview: link a YubiKey
The YubiKey section in profile settings registers a hardware key for login verification, which is used when you need physical two-factor authentication instead of only an authenticator app.

- Your role can be any registered CxPlanner user with password login.
- You can find the menu at Profile icon - Profile - YubiKey.
- This changes login so the linked YubiKey is required to verify your identity.
Requirements for linking a YubiKey

How to link your YubiKey
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Select Profile.
- Scroll down to the YubiKey section.
- Connect your YubiKey to your computer and tap it.
- When a code appears, save it.
Results: login with a linked YubiKey
- The linked YubiKey is required to verify login
- Password alone is no longer enough once the key is linked
- Losing the key can block login until the method is reset
Troubleshooting: YubiKey login
Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
YubiKey is not recognized | USB connection or port issue | Try another USB port, reconnect the key, then tap again in the YubiKey section |
Code does not appear | Tap was not registered | Remove and reinsert the YubiKey, then tap firmly when prompted |
Cannot log in without the YubiKey | YubiKey is required for this account | Ask a Company Admin or CxPlanner support to reset your login method, and include your email and that YubiKey access is lost |
