Overview
How do I update my personal profile in CxPlanner?
Your profile settings let you manage personal details like your name, email, password, profile picture, and security preferences. Some details, such as
your company affiliation or company role, can only be updated by an administrator.
When and why to use this
Updating your profile helps ensure your account is secure and that other project members can identify you easily.
You may need to use this feature in the following cases:
- To change your password for security reasons
- To activate two-factor authentication (2FA) for additional login protection
- To update your profile picture for team visibility
- To confirm or update personal details like your name and email
- To request a company change if you are moving to another organization

- Click on your Profile icon in the top right corner
- Click Account settings
Guide - Change your password
When you first log in you get the option to chance to change your password, but if you didn't do it then you can easily do it in the account settings
- Open your Account settings
- Scroll dont to the Password section and enter your current password.
- Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters).
- Click Save to confirm.
Guide - Activated 2FA (Two Factor Authentication)
If you want additional security, you can activate 2FA. To use 2FA you need a mobile phone with an app that can be used for this, eg the app Authy.
Every time you log in, open this app and enter the 6 digit code which is available for 30 seconds.
- Open your Account settings
- Scroll down to the Password section and enable 2 Factor Authentication
- Open a 2FA app on your phone (e.g. Authy or Google Authenticator).
- Scan the QR code or enter the secret key into the app.
- Enter the digit code from your app to confirm setup.
Guide - Upload a profile picture
We highly recommend you upload a small profile picture of yourself so that when you create new tasks or answering existing tasks, other users will be able to see it.
- Open your Account settings
- Locate the Profile picture section and click upload
- Select an image of yourself that is clearly visible
- Click Save
Guide - Changing your company
You may experience that you want to change your company within the platform, but you can't change your company yourself.
To change your company you need to contact CxPlanner Support:
- Use the Chat-Support at the bottom right of the right or send us an email at support@cxplanner.com.
