Sort tasks in the "Task Assigned to You" section

Overview

How do I sort tasks in the "Tasks Assigned to You" section?

You can organize your assigned tasks by Project, Status, Type, or Task Name directly in the Tasks Assigned to You section. Sorting helps you quickly focus on relevant work — for example, grouping tasks from the same project or filtering by progress status.

All users can access and sort their assigned tasks. No special role is required.

When and why to use this

Sorting tasks improves clarity and prioritization, especially in busy projects. Use it when you need to:

  • Group tasks by project to focus on specific deliverables.
  • View tasks by status to identify urgent or pending items.
  • Organize by type or name for faster navigation.
  • Customize your task list to match your workflow.

The system applies your sorting instantly and keeps the grouping active until you reset it.

Guide - how to sort tasks

  1. Open the Tasks Assigned to You section from your dashboard or the task module.
  2. Hover over any blue column header (e.g., Project, Type, Status, Name) and right-click on it.
  3. Select "Add to Group" to organize tasks into collapsible groups.

Reset or remove a grouping

  1. Right-click the same column header you grouped by.
  2. Select "Remove groups" or drag the group header away from the grouping bar (if visible).

Behavior and results

Grouping is dynamic and affects only your personal view — it does not change the task list for other users.

You can combine grouping with filters for more precise task lists.
