Upload a New Version of a File
Overview
How do I upload a new version of a file?
You can update existing files by uploading a new version, ensuring that previous versions are still accessible for reference.
When and why to use this
Updating a file version is useful when you need to replace outdated content while keeping a record of previous versions.
- When you have made changes or corrections to a document
- When you need to maintain a version history for audit or reference
- The system keeps all older versions for easy retrieval
- Only one file name is shown in the main list - older versions are stored in the file’s version history
