Overview: individual asset detail page

The asset detail panel in the Asset module opens a tabbed side panel for one asset, which is used during commissioning and handover to review equipment status, linked work, files, and QR access from one place.

For standard field meanings, see Asset fields reference. For removing custom columns, see Remove custom columns in the Asset module.

Your role must be Viewer or higher to view, and Manager or higher to edit fields.
You can find the panel at Asset module - Assets overview - click Asset ID or Name.
This changes asset metadata, linked files, comments, photos, and floorplan placement when you edit.

Only users with project role Manager or higher can edit asset fields or add custom attributes.

What CxPlanner does in the asset detail panel

Shows overview activity, checklists, tasks, files, description, photo, floorplan, and QR tabs
Saves field edits immediately per field
Lets CxAI match project files to the asset from AI Auto find files
Uses the nameplate photo for CxAI enrichment

How to use the asset detail panel

Open the panel

Open the Asset module.
Click Assets overview.
Click the Asset ID or Name.
Use the tabs at the top of the panel.

Overview	Activity feed and assigned checklists. Use Add Comment to post.
Activity	Audit log of changes
Files	Core Files, Referenced Files, Task Files, and AI Auto find files
Tasks	Tasks linked to this asset
Checklists	Assigned checklists with completion percentage
Description	Free-text notes
Photo	Nameplate photo for CxAI enrichment
Floorplan	Asset marker on the project floorplan
QR-Code	Web link, app deep link, and downloadable QR image

Add a comment

Open the Overview tab.
Click Add Comment.
Type the comment and click Post.

Upload a nameplate photo

Open the Photo tab.
Click Upload photo.
Select the nameplate image.

Download the asset QR code

Open the QR tab.
Review the web link and app deep link.
Click the QR code image to download it.

The QR Module is an enterprise feature. If the QR tab is missing, contact your CxPlanner account manager.

AI Auto find files matches project files by Asset ID, shared tags, and name patterns. Review matches before relying on them.

Troubleshooting: asset detail panel

Problem	Cause	Solution
Floorplan tab shows no map	No floorplan uploaded to the project	Ask a project Admin to upload a floorplan in Project Settings
AI Auto find files returns no matches	Asset ID or name does not match file names or tags	Manually link files under Referenced Files, or rename/tag files with the Asset ID
Custom attribute missing in the panel	Attribute belongs to a different asset type	Add the attribute under the correct type in Types: Assets
QR download link is wrong	Project or app URL configuration changed	Ask a CxPlanner Admin to verify the project URL settings
