How do I edit several tasks at once?
Bulk editing tasks allows you to update multiple active tasks at the same time, saving time and reducing repetitive work.
When and why to use this
Bulk editing is useful when you need to make the same change across several tasks in a project.
Common use cases include:
- Marking multiple tasks as completed.
- Changing the status of several tasks at once.
- Updating task details in a batch instead of individually.
- Deleting multiple tasks
Guide - How to bulk edit multiple tasks
- Go to Punchlist items & tasks in the left-hand sidebar.
- Click on the menu icon.
- Select Bulk edit many tasks.
- Select all tasks you want to edit by checking the boxes on the left-hand side.
- Click on any one of the selected tasks to open the bulk edit view and make your changes.

Behavior and results
When you perform a bulk edit:
- All selected tasks receive the exact same changes.
- Status updates (e.g., to Closed) are reflected immediately in the task list.
- The visual indicator (green highlight) confirms the tasks are marked as completed.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Cause | Solution |

Bulk edit option not visible | Insufficient project role | Ask a Manager or Admin to update your role |
Changes did not apply to all tasks | Some tasks were not selected | Reselect all tasks and try again |
Cannot edit a task | Task is not active or already closed | Reopen the task before bulk editing |
