Check grammar and spelling on a computer
CxPlanner does not have a built-in grammar or spell-check feature ("grammar control") for text fields such as comment fields, task descriptions, or checklist notes. This guide covers the practical workarounds for catching typos and grammar issues while typing in CxPlanner on a laptop or desktop, using tools outside CxPlanner itself.
Use the browser's built-in spell-check
Chrome and Edge check spelling by default in any text field, including CxPlanner's. Misspelled words are underlined in red with no setup required.
- Right-click an underlined word in a CxPlanner text field.
- Choose the correct spelling from the suggestions, or select Add to dictionary if the word is correct.
This catches spelling only, not grammar or sentence structure. Use a dedicated tool such as Grammarly for grammar checking.
Recommended browser
CxPlanner recommends Google Chrome for the best overall experience. Grammar and spell-check extensions are most reliable in Chrome; other browsers may behave differently.
Turn on a browser spell-check and grammar extension
Grammarly (or a similar browser extension) checks grammar and spelling as you type in most standard text fields, including CxPlanner's comment fields, task descriptions, and checklist notes.
- Install the Grammarly extension from the Chrome Web Store, or your browser's extension store.
- Sign in, or create a Grammarly account.
- Open CxPlanner in the browser and click into a text field, such as a task comment.
- Grammarly underlines grammar and spelling issues directly in the field and offers a fix.
