Create & respond to registrations using voice input (Android)

Overview

How do I create or respond to a registration by dictating my message?

On mobile devices, you can use your keyboard’s built-in microphone feature to dictate text directly into the comment field of a registration. This is useful when you are on-site, wearing gloves, or need to respond quickly without typing manually.

This feature is available for all users.

When and why to use this

Use voice input when you want to quickly create or respond to a registration from your mobile device.

  • The feature works on mobile devices
  • Your spoken message is converted into text in the comment field
  • You can review and edit the text before sending
  • The microphone is part of your mobile keyboard and may look different on iPhone and Android
  • CxPlanner does not record or save your voice as an audio file

How to - step by step

  1. Open CxPlanner on your mobile device.
  2. Open the registration you want to respond to.
  3. Tap the comment field to open your keyboard.
  4. Tap the microphone icon on your keyboard.
  5. Dictate your message.
  6. Review and edit the text if needed.
  7. Send the message.

Android

On Android, the microphone icon is usually located in the keyboard toolbar or near the suggestion bar. The exact placement depends on the keyboard app, for example Gboard or Samsung Keyboard.
