Overview: voice input for tasks on Android
On mobile devices, you can use your keyboard microphone to dictate text into the comment field of a task or punch list item, which is used when you are on site, wearing gloves, or need to reply quickly without typing.
CxPlanner stores only the transcribed text, not an audio file.
Any user who can comment on a task can use this.

- This adds a text comment on the task.
What happens during voice input
- Your device converts speech to text in the comment field
- You can review and edit the text before sending
- CxPlanner saves only the final text on the task
- On Android, the microphone is usually in the keyboard toolbar or near the suggestion bar, depending on Gboard or Samsung Keyboard
How to dictate a task comment on Android
- Open CxPlanner on your Android device.
- Open the task you want to respond to.
- Tap the comment field to open your keyboard.
- Tap the microphone icon on the keyboard.
- Dictate your message.
- Review and edit the text if needed.
- Send the message.

Troubleshooting: voice input on Android
