Description of Company roles

Company roles

Company roles in CxPlanner control what a user can do across the entire platform - not just in individual projects. They determine access to features like creating new projects, editing company settings, and managing other users.

Please note: Project roles are not the same as company roles.

  • Project roles define your permissions within a specific project, such as creating tasks, replying to issues, or accessing project settings. (you can read more about project roles here)
  • Company roles, on the other hand, define what you can do across the entire system, such as creating new projects or editing company-wide settings.

Explanation of the different Company Roles

There are three different roles for company profiles:

Role

Description

Administrator

This user has full control over the platform. The profile can view the company agreement with CxPlanner, create new company users, create new projects, and create new templates.

Moderator

This user can create new company users, create new projects, and create new templates.

User

This user can create new templates. This user type is used for users who only need to be connected to projects. It could be external collaborators or employees who only need to participate in one project.

Permission to Create New Projects

Only users with the company roles Administrator and Moderator have this permission. You can change users to have this role in the user overview.

Access the user overview by clicking on your profile picture in the top right and then selecting "Users."
